This policy applies to personal data we process as a data controller or data processor when you visit our website, request a demo or quotation, use our fleet management, temperature monitoring, security, or IoT management platforms, or otherwise interact with Alrakeen. Where we process data on behalf of a client (for example, tracking data collected through devices installed by one of our clients), that client remains the data controller and their own privacy notice governs; we act as processor under contract.
We process personal data only for specified, explicit purposes and rely on one or more of the following legal bases recognized under the PDPL: your explicit consent, performance of a contract to which you are a party, compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving our services, provided that interest does not override your rights and freedoms.
Purposes include: providing and maintaining our fleet tracking, security, and IoT platforms; responding to inquiries and delivering quotations; billing and contract administration; regulatory reporting (including reporting required for licensed telecommunications and transport-related activity); fraud prevention and platform security; and improving our website and services.
Personal data collected in connection with our Saudi operations is primarily hosted within the Kingdom. Where data is processed or backed up outside Saudi Arabia, such transfer only occurs where permitted under the PDPL Implementing Regulations — including where SDAIA has approved an adequate level of protection in the destination country, appropriate contractual or technical safeguards are in place, or an applicable exception applies — and always with a level of protection no less than that required under Saudi law.
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with: cloud infrastructure and hosting providers acting under contract as data processors; regulators and government authorities where legally required (including the Communications, Space & Technology Commission and, where applicable, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority for regulated device categories); and professional advisors bound by confidentiality obligations. Any third party processing personal data on our behalf is contractually bound to the same protection standards required of us under the PDPL.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to satisfy contractual obligations to our clients, or to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory retention requirements under Saudi law. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
We apply technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process, including encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions, network segmentation, logging and monitoring, and regular security review of our cloud infrastructure. No system can guarantee absolute security, and we continuously work to reduce risk.
Subject to the PDPL and its Implementing Regulations, you have the right to: be informed about how your data is processed; access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements; withdraw previously given consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with SDAIA if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully. Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent as required by law.
